Tax Information

Tax revenues from citizens help pay for government services, including parks, police, fire, utilities and many others.

Gwinnett County has received consistent, national recognition for its fiscal responsibility and efficient operation.

    The components of the annual property tax bill are:
    • 65% approx. - School taxes, set by the Board of Education
    • 34% approx. - County taxes, set by the Board of Commissioners
    • 1% approx. - State taxes
