MUNICIPAL SERVICES
Information about utility services provided by cities is available by going to their Web sites.

WATER/SEWER
Gwinnett County provides water and sewer services through its Department of Water Resources.

TRASH PICKUP / RECYCLING
Trash pickup/recycling services are provided by private companies in unincorporated areas.

GAS
The natural gas market in Georgia was deregulated in 1998. Please visit the Georgia Public Service Commission Web site for a current list of providers.

ELECTRICITY
Electric providers have residential service territories assigned by the Georgia Public Service Commission, but they compete for many new commercial and industrial customers.

A competitive market for local phone service was established by state legislation in 1995 and federal law in 1996. Today there are hundreds of providers operating in Georgia. Please see the Georgia Public Service Commission (PSC) Web site for more information.
