The Water and Sewerage Authority was established in 1970 by law. The Authority consists of five members who shall be residents of Gwinnett County and shall be appointed by the Board of Commissioners. The Authority will appoint a chairman, vice-chairman, secretary and treasurer from its members.

Members serve 1 - year terms.
