The mission of the Budget Division of Gwinnett County is to develop and manage a sustainable, structurally-balanced annual budget and five-year plan that ensures fiscal strength, the means to achieve service delivery goals, and the collaboration of long-term master planning.

The Budget Division will enhance collaborative working relationships with County Departments by assisting them in financial planning for operations and project delivery, actively investigate alternative sources of funding, and provide innovative ideas toward the effective and efficient use of resources to achieve the County's overall goals and objectives.

Accuracy - Provide information to county officials that is accurate, so decisions can be made in a timely manner.

Cooperation - Be able to work with other governmental organizations, county departments, elected officials, and citizens to identify needs and allocate funding to ensure services are provided and projects are completed.

Customer Service - Treat internal and external customers with respect, assist them in a timely manner, while following a process of continuous improvement of county operations in order to become more efficient and responsive to better serve the needs of the citizens.

Efficiency - Maximize impact of revenue received by county and minimize tax / fee impact on citizens to ensure the county continues to grow and prosper. Review expenses to ensure funds are spent wisely and waste is minimized.

Integrity - Complete objectives with adherence to the Budget Resolution and all other county, state and federal requirements pertaining to fiscal responsibility, financial reporting and accounting principles.

Trust - Citizens must have confidence in the Budget Division's commitment to public service. We must allocate Gwinnett County's funds properly and with the aim of improving the citizen's quality of life.

Visionary - Anticipate and plan for expected needs of county and citizens to ensure that required funds and potential revenue are in place to provide for services and/or projects when needed, by exploring all available funding sources.
