Routing for the Reuse Pipeline to Lake Lanier

From the F. Wayne Hill Water Resources Center, the pipeline crosses I-985 and proceeds about 800 feet to the intersection of Satellite Boulevard. The alignment then turns north to follow Satellite Boulevard for approximately 4,200 feet to Woodward Mill Road. At this junction the pipeline follows Woodward Mill Road for about 4,800 feet to Old Suwanee Road intersection where it turns north to follow the alignment of Old Suwanee Road for approximately 7,000 feet to Railroad Avenue.

The pipeline then proceeds north for about 1,950 feet to the intersection at Lanier Avenue where it crosses the Southern Railroad and continues north for approximately 1,650 feet along Lanier Avenue. Where Lanier Avenue dead ends the pipeline goes under State Road 20 (Cumming Highway) and proceeds up East Broad Street alongside the Southern Railroad for 1,200 feet to the intersection at R.H. Smith Boulevard and East Broad Street. The alignment continues west along R.H. Smith Boulevard for approximately 1,000 feet, crossing Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and proceeding northwest for about1,750 feet to Hillcrest Drive.

The pipeline continues north for approximately 5,500 feet along maintained and closed portions of Hillcrest Drive to the intersection of South Richland Creek Road. At South Richland Creek Road the pipeline turns west for about 5,250 feet to Sycamore Road. The project then proceeds north on Sycamore Road for about 6,950 feet to the intersection of Buford Dam Road. The alignment then turns northeast on Buford Dam Road for approximately 1,950 feet to the intersection at Shoal Creek Pump Station access road and there it turns northwest along the access road to the point where it enters Lake Lanier.  For more information on the Lanier Reuse Line project please contact Luiz Cavalcanti at 678.376.6742
