Solid Waste Program Assessment - Final Report
The County's solid waste consultant, R. W. Beck, Inc., has concluded its six-month study and submitted its final report to the Board of Commissioners. Included in the report are recaps and analyses of the public input gathered earlier this year through public forums and surveys, benchmarking of other counties' programs, review of recycling options, and recommendations for future actions.

Solid Waste Management Plan
Although the County was enjoined from implementing the new solid waste ordinance that was to be effective January 1, 2009, the update to the Gwinnett County Solid Waste Management Plan (SWMP) that was approved by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs and adopted by the Board of Commissioners on April 22, 2008 remains in effect and the County continues to be in compliance with the Georgia Solid Waste Management Act. A copy of the SWMP is available for viewing or downloading by clicking here.
