Gwinnett County Health and Human Services Division partners with the community to provide senior citizens, families, and individuals with opportunities to participate in quality services to improve their health and well-being.
Heaters Desperately Needed
Heaters are desperately needed to assist Gwinnett seniors to stay warm this winter. Please consider dropping off a new portable electric heater to any Gwinnett County fire station for Project AWARE (Added Warmth Assistance for the Residents of our Elderly). You may also make a tax deductible donation to Friends of Gwinnett County Senior Services, 75 Langley Drive, Lawrenceville, GA 30046. If you are a senior and need heat assistance, please call 678.377.4150 for more information.
The purpose of Gwinnett County Senior Services is to provide a variety of programs and services for our seniors, designed to enhance the quality of their lives and maintain their independence.
Service Centers
The Buford and Norcross Human Services Centers are "one-stop" integrated health and human services centers. Both offer a wide array of services as well as providing programs for area seniors.
The Centerville Community Center (CCC) adjoins a branch of the public library. A variety of activities and programs for area children, youth, adults and seniors are scheduled throughout the year. Rental space is available for special occasions or events.
