The Treasury Division provides a number of financial services, including revenue administration, long- and short-term debt management, capital funding support, cash and investment management, disbursements, tax compliance and certain business regulatory activities. The division is responsible for timely and accurate payment of vendors.
Other duties include safeguarding the County's investment assets and bank balances, selection and accounting for investments, administering bond issues, facilitating banking relations, and coordinating services provided by the County's Financial and Investment Advisors.
The County's CATV (cable television) ordinance is administered by this division, along with the collection of business/occupation taxes, financial institution taxes, alcoholic beverage excise and hotel motel taxes. See the section on Licensing & Revenue for more information.
This area also manages appeals related to alcohol license suspensions and other matters related to sale of alcoholic beverages 678.377.4100.
