Use this feature to renew an expired building permit. This service is for persons that have an existing building permit with an expired status. Simply enter your building permit number, pay the appropriate fees and renew your permit immediately.

Have one or more unpaid re-inspection fees? Rather than visit the Department of Planning and Development, login to pay outstanding building permit re-inspection fees online. After entering your existing building permit number, a list of all unpaid re-inspection fees will be presented. You can pay one fee, all fees or a combination thereof. Remember this service is for building permit re-inspection fees only!

Pay a Building Permit Re-inspection Fee

Use this service to request an inspection on a Development Permit including Commercial, Subdivision and Multifamily Development Permits and Land Disturbance Permits. You can also request a preferred timeframe for the inspection. You will receive an e-mail confirmation that the requested inspection has been received. When an online inspection is requested, an inspection ticket is supplied to the inspector on the next business day. In addition to using this online inspection request method, you can use the Automated Inspection Request System (AIRS) call-in phone service at 678.518.6277.

Submit your subcontractor affidavit online with this service. Online affidavit submitters will receive an e-mail confirmation that the affidavit has been either accepted or rejected. Affidavits can still be submitted by regular mail or in person if desired (no faxes however). A subcontractor affidavit is required for most building permits and must be filed before work commences. No Affidavits! No Inspections! No Exceptions!

This service allows you to search the department's Advantage database for any permit or case that is processed by the department. Some of the permits or cases you can search for include building permits, commercial development permits and rezoning cases (available permit or case types are listed below).

Search critera include the permit or case number, map reference number (MRN), street address, project name, subdivison name, person or company, or by a date range. Several search criteria use unique naming conventions. For example, to search for a building permit by the permit number you would enter BLD2005-00001 where BLD is the three (3) letter acronym for the permit or case type, 2005 is the four (4) digit year, and 00001 is the five (5) digit case/permit number. To search by map reference number (MRN), the naming convention would be RDLLL PPP where D is the land district, LLL is the land lot, and PPP is the parcel number. Entering R7001 001 in the MRN field will return all of the permits or cases associated with parcel 001 in land lot 001 of the 7th district.
