American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA)

Recovery.gov

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act) was signed into law by President Obama on February 17th, 2009. The purpose of this effort is to stimulate the economy, create or save jobs, address the nation's infrastructure, enhance energy independence, expand educational opportunities, preserve and improve affordable health care, provide tax relief, and protect those in greatest need. We are working hard to secure Gwinnett County's fair share of federal stimulus funds through direct allocation of funds based on a formula or through competition with other entities for grants from either the state or federal government.

We have launched this site in an effort to provide the public with the latest information on our progress of potential funds from the American Economic Recovery and Reinvestment Act. This site also will be utilized to fulfill the rigorous requirements for accountability and transparency.

These are your tax dollars at work in Gwinnett County - and you have the right to know how it's being invested.
