Publishing Center 6.0.0 provides the capability to delete a content item by means of several options. The options appear listed here, together with a brief description of the capability to delete that each option provides:
For example, you can use the option instant publisher to display an Instant Publisher Form. Then you can use any Instant Publisher Form to delete content items, if the form has been customized to include a capability to delete. Also, content items can be deleted by developers who use the Publishing Center application database or use One-To-One Command Center.
When a user with appropriate privileges deletes a content item, the item is marked for deletion in, but not removed from, the database. Removing the item from the database can be done only by using SQL. The item can be seen no longer, nor worked with, either in Publishing Center or One-To-One Command Center. Deletion can be reversed by your database administrator. The administrator can reset the flag for the attribute deleted, then rename the content item.
The illustration shown here represents sample delete functionality delivered with Publishing Center. Your developers can implement this sample in an Instant Publisher Form that is customized to query automatically for a list of certain content items. The retrieved list will display, next to each item, a button labeled Delete. Click the button labeled Delete that is next to any item you want to delete from Publishing Center.
Clicking the link to the content item that appears in the table's leftmost column, headed Content Item, opens the content item so that you can review and modify it.
