To modify a content item, you must be a member of an access group that has write access to the category in which the item is classified. To change the status attribute value, the access group you belong to must have Approve privileges for that category.
To access an item to modify it, open it in the screen Update [Category]. Navigate to the screen Update [Category] by means of the options supplied by the navigation bar item Find or the options full form and Inbox. Then select a content item.
- If you are modifying an item that is assigned to you or an access group of which you are a member, use an inbox to open the item in the screen Update [Category]. Chapter 3, "Using Inbox explains how to gain access to an existing content item from an inbox.
- If you are modifying an item that is not assigned to you or an access group you belong to, use one of the options supplied by the navigation bar item Find to locate the item. Chapter 4, "Finding content" explains how to locate and open an existing item using the options supplied by the navigation bar item Find.
To modify a content item, you can:
- Change the content attribute values for the item. If you change the required attributes, be sure they all have values. Use the information in the following topic that applies to the content type you are working with.
