Finding content

This chapter provides information about using the item Find, and the three options the item Find supplies: find and replace, instant find, and browse.

The item Find, and the options find and replace, instant find, and browse, form part of the application .sl 6.0.0. The item Find, and the options find and replace, instant find, and browse, appear on the application's navigation bar.

The three options supplied by the navigation bar item Find provide capabilities that enable you to query a content database. You can use the three options to find and retrieve content items not assigned to you, or not assigned to an access group of which you are a member. You can use Find and its three options according to three scenarios:

  1. If a content item was added to the content database but never assigned. "Setting workflow states and assigning content" explains how content items are assigned.
  1. If a content item was not assigned to you, and you need to work with it.
  1. If a content item is Unclassified. "The category Unclassified" explains how items become unclassified.

The two options find and replace and browse can be used simultaneously. For instance, you can use the screens of the option find and replace at the same time you are using screens of the option browse.
