Looking for the gift that will keep giving all year long? Come by our office and pick up a copy of "So Easy to Preserve." A great book on canning, preserving and recipes for all those garden enthusiasts. All the information comes from UGA Family and Consumer Science Departement. Cost is $18.00 per book.
RADON IN GEORGIA HOMES http://www.epa.gov/radon January 2012 is Radon Action month. Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer. Testing your home is the only way to know how much of this radioactive gas is in your house. The Gwinnett Cooperative Extension is giving away one radon kit per household FREE of charge during the month of January. People interested in obtaining one may visit our office in person at the Gwinnett Cooperative Extension Service located at the Gwinnett County Government Annex Building, 750 South Perry Street, Suite 400, Lawrenceville, GA 30046. To have a kit mailed to you, the cost is $6.50. Please call 678.377.4010 and ask for Tricia Smith or Ines Beltran for more information.
