In the sunset of our lives • May 16 10:00am. In celebration of Gwinnett County Senior Services 40-year anniversary, we're showcasing our seniors' talents! Join us for the grand opening on May 16 at Gwinnett Senior Services Center, 567 Swanson Drive in Lawrenceville. Artwork will be on display until June 11 and then move to the following locations:

Outback at Work – the Spring Fling • June 6 Pre-ordered charity lunches delivered to your workplace. Menu consists of steak and chicken, mashed potatoes, vegetables, and a roll for only $15. Charity Golf Classic at TPC Sugarloaf – Third Annual • September 10 Come out swinging to get a hole in one, while raising monies for senior home delivered meals. Tour of Trees – Sixth Annual • December 2 Delmar Gardens of Gwinnett 3100 Club Drive Lawrenceville, GA 30044 Get into the holiday spirit by visiting Delmar Gardens of Gwinnett for their Holiday Tour of Trees. You or your organization can donate and decorate a tree. The trees will be open for bid. All proceeds will go directly to charitable agencies including Gwinnett Senior Services. Everybody is invited! Centerville Community Center Events

For classes held at the Centerville Community Center, click here. Kids' Fishing Derby! ● May 12 ● FREE! 10:00am – noon. Enjoy the sport of fishing while trying to catch Big Herman, the pond's 30-pound catfish who is still on the loose! Children through age 15 will be able to fish without a license this day, so plan on bringing your poles and we'll supply the bait and prizes. Competition ends at 11:45am. Winners will be announced at noon. Parents must be present to sign a waiver in order for children to participate. No need to register, but if you wish to volunteer, contact the community center at 770.985.4713.
American Red Cross Blood Drive ● May 25 2:00pm – 7:00pm. Every two seconds, someone in America needs blood. One pint can save three lives, so donate today. Lend a Helping Hand to Your Community! ● Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm. The community center is collecting canned goods to benefit the Southeast Gwinnett Cooperative Ministry. Please donate canned/boxed food items: rice, pasta, soup, dried beans, fruit, vegetables, grits/oatmeal, pancake/baking mix, powdered/canned milk, vegetable oil, ketchup, mayo, salad dressing, peanut butter, jelly, spaghetti sauce, sugar, and crackers. Norcross Human Services Events

For classes held at the Norcross Human Services Center, click here. Asian Countries Display • FREE! Monday to Friday from 8:00am – 6:00pm until May 31, at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center (GJAC) located at 75 Langley Drive in Lawrenceville. Come and learn about the demographics, geography location, and more of different Asian countries. Artifacts of some of the countries in this region will also be displayed.
