Volunteer opportunities are based on human service needs and senior clients enrolled in Gwinnett Senior Services programs.

Individual Volunteers
If you would like to perform a reoccurring assignment and are 18 or older, please download and complete the Individual Volunteer Application. Individual volunteer opportunities include:
  • Senior meals delivery
  • Friendly visitation with seniors
  • Health screenings
  • Transportation
  • Minor home repairs
  • Yard/lawn care
  • Program instructor
  • Clerical
  • Special event

Pages 1 – 2 of the Individual Volunteer Application can be filled in on your computer; however, pages 3 – 4 must be printed and filled in by hand. Once the application has been completed, please be sure page 4 (Authorization/Consent for Background Check) is signed and notarized. Lastly, please be sure to include a CLEAR COPY of your driver's license with the application.

Since a copy of your driver's license is required to complete this application, we cannot accept applications received via fax or email. Individual Volunteer Applications must be mailed or hand delivered.


Group Volunteers
If you are volunteering as part of a group and intend to perform a one-time project, please download and complete the Group Volunteer Application. Group volunteer opportunities include:
  • Yard/lawn Care
  • Minor home repair
  • Friendly visitation with seniors
  • Food/clothing drive
  • Group presentation
  • Special event

If your group intends to perform a reoccurring assignment, each participating group member should download and complete the Individual Volunteer Application.

All groups of minors (under 18) must be supervised by a registered adult at all times during a group assignment. Adult supervisors may register through the Group Volunteer Application.


Youth Volunteers (under 18)
Volunteering is a rewarding commitment for all ages and an important experience for our youth. Volunteers under the age of 18 are encouraged to volunteer with the supervision of a parent/guardian. If you are under the age of 18 and you do not intend to volunteer as part of a group, please download and complete the Youth Volunteer Application. Youth volunteer opportunities include:
  • Yard/lawn care
  • Senior center aid
  • Friendly visitation with seniors
  • Food/clothing drive
  • Presentation
  • Special event

Please note that all individual volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times during their assignment. Parent/Guardians should jointly complete the Youth Volunteer Application with the youth volunteer.


Skill-based Volunteers
Skill-based volunteers are professionals who wish to donate their expertise to the community. Professionals are always needed in the following areas:
  • Preventative health maintenance
  • Major home repair projects
  • Information and Technology (IT)
