The budget review meetings take place near the end of the County's annual budget planning cycle when departments and agencies present their business plans and proposed budgets to the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners. After making their presentations, the department representatives answer questions from the Chairman and members of the budget review team, which includes staff and citizens appointed by the chairman.
The proposed 2011 budget was developed from the information provided by departments and with input from the budget review team. The proposed 2011 budget will be published on this website for public review on December 1 and a public hearing will be conducted on December 14 at 7:00pm in the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center auditorium. The Board of Commissioners will consider the budget for adoption on January 4, 2011.
