Municipal-Gwinnett County Planning Commission

The Planning Division provides staff support for the Municipal-Gwinnett County Planning Commission. The Municipal-Gwinnett County Planning Commission is a committee of nine (9) residents appointed by the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners to review matters such as rezonings, Special Use Permits, Moved-in-House applications, buffer reduction requests, site plans, Zoning Resolution amendments, land use plan amendments and other current and long-range planning projects.

The Municipal-Gwinnett County Planning Commission generally meets on a monthly basis to consider rezonings and related Special Use Permit applications while the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners usually meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month to consider all applications. All of these meetings are usually held at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center, 75 Langley Dr, Lawrenceville GA.
