The fine for running a red light in Gwinnett County is $70. Please note that the Recorder’s Court does not accept personal or company checks.
No points will be assessed on your driving record, and the violation will not be reported to your insurance company.
Payment Options
Red Light violations may be paid through the mail or in person.
When mailing a fine for a citation, enclose the payment receipt and a money order or cashier’s check (no cash) for the amount indicated on the front of the citation. Make checks payable to “Gwinnett County Recorder’s Court.” Payments should be mailed to the following address:

Walk-in payments will be accepted at Gwinnett County Recorder's Court Monday through Friday, from 8:00am – 5:00pm. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or cash are accepted when paying in person.
