Voters okay Sunday alcohol sales to take effect in May

Voters approved the referendum to permit Sunday retail package alcohol sales in unincorporated Gwinnett County during the Tuesday, March 6 election. Sales are set to begin in unincorporated Gwinnett County on May 6, 2012.
Before businesses can begin selling alcohol on Sundays, they must submit an application with the County’s Licensing and Revenue Office to amend their current alcoholic beverage license to include Sunday sales. The Licensing and Revenue Office will begin accepting Sunday sale applications on April 16, 2012. For more information, please call 678.377.4100.
