BB&T Bank Fraud

(Peachtree Corners, Georgia)  On Wednesday, June 10, at approximately 1:30pm, the suspect in this case entered the BB&T Bank located at 5125 Peachtree Parkway in Peachtree Corners to deposit a check.  After the check cleared the bank, the funds were withdrawn from the account.

The bank later discovered that the check the suspect deposited was stolen.  The amount on the check was more than $9,000. 

Through the course of the investigation, the lead detective determined that the suspect in the surveillance footage is Patrick Guentangue.

Alias:            Patrick Mouzong

Vehicle:        Audi (silver)  

The suspect may have ties to Nigeria and/or Cameroon.  Attempts to locate him at his local address have been unsuccessful.   

The lead investigator obtained two warrants for Guentangue’s arrest.  They are for Theft by Receiving and Forgery 3rd Degree.
