Fatal Accident Investigation

(Lawrenceville, Georgia) Gwinnett County Police are actively investigating a vehicle fatality that has left one person dead and several others in serious condition. Shortly before 10pm last night, Gwinnett County Police Accident Investigators responded to McKendree Church Road and McKendree Park Lane in Lawrenceville regarding an accident that involved two vehicles. The investigation has revealed the following:

The first vehicle was a 2002 Honda Accord, driven by 26 year old Michael Schick, and his passenger, 20 year old Jessica Terracina. They were traveling North on McKendree Church Road.

The second vehicle was a 2011 Toyota Camry, driven by 26 year old Shana Fischer-Williams. There was also a 29 year old passenger and a 1 year old named Cameran Lowe inside the vehicle. The vehicle was traveling South on McKendree Church Road.

The Honda Accord failed to drive within a single lane after skidding in the roadway and crossed into the southbound lane. It struck the Camry almost directly head on.  All parties were transported to Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, Grady, and Scottish Rite. Cameran Lowe is currently in serious condition. At this point, next of kin notification is pending for the passenger of the second vehicle. All other parties are expected to survive. Speed and alcohol are contributing factors in this accident.
