Real Estate Agent Assaulted

(Lawrenceville, Georgia)  Shortly after 9am, officers assigned to the Central Precinct were dispatched to a medical call in the area of 4240 Sugarloaf Parkway in Lawrenceville.  The caller stated that she was with a woman who was covered in blood.  Members of the Special Victim’s Unit were called in to investigate the crime.

During the course of the investigation, the detectives learned the following:

The female victim (Real Estate Agent) was contacted by a male who was interested in viewing a home that was currently for sale.  The victim met the suspect at the home.  The victim described the suspect as a white male wearing women’s clothing and a wig.  The victim unlocked the door to the home and allowed the suspect to view the home alone.  She waited outside.

When the suspect exited the home, he grabbed her and began assaulting her on the porch.  Fortunately, the victim was able to free herself and ran away.  She flagged down a citizen who called 911.

When the victim met with officers, she was able to give a description of the suspect, the vehicle he was driving, and a partial tag number.  Using leads established in the investigation, a person of interest was identified.  The person of interest is currently at Gwinnett County Police Headquarters being interviewed.  Detectives are following all investigative leads in this case.
