SPRING INTO SUMMER WELLNESS FESTIVAL TO BE HELD AT TRIBBLE MILL PARK

(Lawrenceville, Ga., May 3, 2016) – Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation and Live Healthy Gwinnett will be celebrating National Kids to Parks Day with the annual Spring Into Summer Wellness Festival including a 1, 2, 3K Glow & Show event on Saturday, May 21 at Tribble Mill Park. The festival begins at 5 p.m. and is free to attend. Participants will experience wellness exhibitors, health screenings, fitness demonstrations, entertainment, inflatables, giant lawn games, food vendors, park-wide activities and more! This year’s event sponsors engaging families to adopt new, fun and healthy habits include: Gwinnett Medical Center, Sprouts Farmers Market, WellCare of Georgia, True Source Family Chiropractic, Revved Up Kids, Stars and Strikes and View Point Health.

Following the festival at 8 p.m., the 1, 2, 3K Glow & Show will begin with a Glow in the Dark 3K Fun Walk/Run for $10/person. Fee includes a glow in the dark T-Shirt and two glow bands. All proceeds will benefit the Gwinnett Parks Foundation’s Health and Wellness Scholarship fund. Pre-register at 1, 2, 3K Glow & Show by May 9 to guarantee T-shirt. Onsite registration and packet pickup will begin at 5 p.m. and the 3K will be followed by a free Move on the lawn showing The Good Dinosaur.
