Fat-Free Drains

When Fats, Oils, and Greases Enter

the Drain, They Can Damage Your

Home and the Environment

Pouring grease down your drain at home or at your business can cause:

C      Clogging of sewer pipes and septic lines;

C      Your septic tank to fail;

C      Raw sewage to back up in your home, or your neighbors home;

C      Raw sewage to flow into parks, yards, streets, and into area streams;

C      An expensive repair and cleanup paid by you;

C      Damage to sewer lines, thus increasing repair and maintenance by the Gwinnett County Department of Public Utilities, which can cause higher bills for water and sewer customers.
