Update #1 11/2/19: Murder warrants have been obtained for the suspect in this case. The suspect’s name is Karlton Sirmons, age 30 of Norcross, GA. The suspect’s current whereabouts are unknown and he is considered armed and dangerous. 

The victims in this case have been identified as Derrick Dennis, age 55 of Norcross and Josh Dennis, age 30 of Norcross. 

Original, 11/2/19: (Norcross, Georgia)  The GCPD Homicide Unit is investigating a double homicide that occurred on Beaver Springs Lane in unincorporated Norcross. Officers were dispatched to Building 2042 of the townhome community located off Beaver Springs Lane in Norcross in reference to a “person shot” call.  The call came in from a friend/relative who requested an ambulance to the location.

Officers arrived on scene around 4:45AM to find two black males with gunshot wounds who were deceased.

The Homicide Unit, Crime Scene Unit, District Attorney’s Office, and the Medical Examiner’s Office were all notified.  Officers went door-to-door asking residents if they heard or saw anything that could be related to the crime. 

The name of the victim is being withheld until his next-of-kin can be notified.
