GWINNETT TO HOST RECYCLING DROP-OFF TO CELEBRATE AMERICA RECYCLES DAY

(Lawrenceville, Ga., Nov. 9, 2020) — Gwinnett residents are invited to practice environmental sustainability by bringing paper, electronics and latex paint to Gwinnett County’s America Recycles Day drop-off event. The event takes place Saturday, Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Coolray Field.

Gwinnett County Solid Waste Management and Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful will offer paper shredding and recycling for electronics and latex paint. 

Residents should keep the following quantities and fees in mind:

•     paper – limit of five copier paper boxes;

•     latex paint – limit of 10 gallons per vehicle; and

•     electronics – no fee for computers; $15 cash fee per monitor or television, $5 cash fee per printer.

All attendees are encouraged to wear masks and remain in their vehicles at all times. Recyclable materials should be placed in disposable containers or boxes in the trunks or back seat of vehicles to be removed by vendors. Boxes and containers will not be returned. To help reduce congestion, residents should reserve a drop-off time slot at VolunteerGwinnett.net.
