WHAT:     Gwinnett officials will break ground on a project to renovate and expand the Lenora Park gym into a community recreation center. Funded by SPLOST, the project will include a two-way walking track on the upper level of the gym, a new and improved space for athletes to play a variety of indoor sports, and additional space for activities like art, dance and education. The renovations are expected to be complete in early 2026.

WHEN:     Wednesday, May 1, 10 a.m.

WHO:       Department of Community Services Director Tina Fleming will emcee. Speakers include Gwinnett Board of Commissioners Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson and District 3 Commissioner Jasper Watkins III.
