Three things to do this weekend in Gwinnett

Making unique clay art, attending a cultural festival, and camping out with the family are just a few things to do in Gwinnett this weekend. 

Check out these events taking place Friday, February 20 through Sunday, February 22. 

Create a custom pottery piece 
Residents ages 50 and older can enjoy a creatively fun morning on Friday, February 20 at the Pottery Studio within the Pinckneyville Park Community Recreation Center! From 10:00am to noon, learn the basics of hand-building a unique clay creation. 

This event costs $12 for Gwinnett residents. Light refreshments will be provided. Pieces will be ready for pickup by March 20.

Attend a black history festival 
Join us as we celebrate Black History Month at the Greenwood Culture Festival on Saturday, February 21 at the Lucky Shoals Park Community Recreation Center! From 10:00am to 2:00pm, enjoy music, food, and a parade.  

This event is free for Gwinnett residents of all ages.

Enjoy family time under the stars 
Reconnect with nature at the Winter Family Campout at Simpsonwood Park on Saturday, February 21 from 4:30pm to Sunday, February 22 at 9:00am! This event is for all ages and is the perfect opportunity for families to experience the joys of camping in a relaxed setting without venturing far from home.  

This event costs $15 for Gwinnett residents. S’mores, dinner, and light breakfast will be provided.
