Every year, medicine cabinets across Gwinnett quietly fill with bottles, like half-used prescriptions, expired pills, and forgotten cough syrups. Most sit untouched, but some pose real danger through accidental ingestion, prescription medication misuse, and environmental contamination.
Now, there’s a better way. At every Gwinnett police precinct and at police headquarters, sturdy NarcX collection boxes stand ready in the lobby — simple, secure, and free to use. Between 8:00am and 4:00pm, Monday through Friday, residents can safely drop off unwanted medications: pills, tablets, capsules, even liquids, with no questions asked.
Thanks to our partnership with the Council of Alcohol and Drugs, this initiative protects more than one household — it helps keep our entire community safe.
