(Buford, Ga., Nov. 28, 2024) - At 10:02 p.m., firefighters responded to a report of smoke coming from the roof of a church located at 15 East Moreno Street NE in Buford. 911 call takers had received multiple calls with similar reports.

(Grayson, GA., December 24, 2024)  At 12:00 p.m., firefighters responded to an occupant's report of a house fire on the 900 block of Swan Ridge Circle in Grayson. The 911 callers advised that the roof was on fire and spreading to nearby homes. The First arriving Gwinnett Police officers updated dispatch to a fully involved house and fire reaching homes on either side. 

(Dacula, Ga., Jan. 27, 2025) – Firefighters responded at 5:04 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025, to a report of a house fire on the 2700 block of Freeman Mill Road in Dacula. The 911 caller advised that their daughter’s house was on fire. The caller advised that there were people outside the home. A second 911 caller advised that there was a large fire and that they could see it from their house on Eastside Drive.

(Sugar Hill, Ga., Jan. 29, 2025) - At 4:47 p.m., firefighters responded to a report of a house fire on the 5100 block of Stick Court NE in Sugar Hill. The caller informed 911 call takers that they had observed smoke coming from the roof of their neighbor’s home. 

(Norcross, Ga., Feb. 5, 2025) – Firefighters responded on February 4, 2025, at 7:40 p.m. to an occupant’s report of a house fire on the 6100 block of Wandering Way in Norcross. The 911 caller advised that flames were coming out of the front door. The caller also advised everyone was out of the home.

(Peachtree Corners, Ga., Feb. 16, 2025) – Firefighters responded at 9:36 p.m. to an occupant’s report of an apartment fire at the Rosemont Peachtree Corners Apartments at 3769 Elmside Village Lane in Peachtree Corners. The 911 caller advised their apartment was on fire and it is filling with smoke. The occupant advised dispatch they were looking for the fire alarm pull station but couldn’t find it and that the fire started on the stove.   

Update #1: (Loganville, Ga., Apr 2, 2025) -According to Fire Investigators, the cause of this tragic fire remains undetermined as defined by NFPA 921. Fire Investigators were not able to rule out accidental sources in the area of origin. Our hearts go out to the family and the community during this difficult time.

(Lilburn, Ga., April12, 2025) Firefighters responded at 6:01 a.m. to a neighbor’s report of a recreational trailer on fire in the woods behind the 4100 block of Bent Willow Drive in Lilburn. The 911 caller said they could see the fire across the lake and heard an explosion. Additional callers advised 911 that a person lived in the trailer, and the responding units upgraded to a residential fire response.

(Lawrenceville, Ga., May. 21, 2025) – Shortly after midnight, the National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for northern Gwinnett County after radar indicated a storm moving across the region at 50 mph. At 2:01 a.m., firefighters responded to a report of a house fire on the 1900 block of Grouse Court NW in Lawrenceville. The caller reported that lightning had struck their house, causing a fire, and that everyone was in the process of evacuating.  

(Dacula, Ga., May. 23, 2025) - At 11:09 a.m., firefighters responded to a report of a house fire on the 1100 block of Evergreen Oak Way NE in Dacula. The caller reported observing a fire on the back deck of a neighbor’s house that was spreading up the back wall.

(Snellville, Ga., June 24, 2025) – Firefighters responded to a report of a house fire on the 4200 block of Round Stone Trail SW in unincorporated Snellville at 7:35 p.m. The caller reported that their neighbor's house was on fire and that a person was trapped inside. Call takers began to receive multiple reports of the house fire.

(Lawrenceville, Ga., July 10, 2025) – Firefighters responded at 6:14 a.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025, to a report of a fire alarm on the 700 block of Clairidge Lane in Lawrenceville. The 911 caller reported that the fire alarm was sounding and there was a smell of smoke in their home. The caller advised that they were clear to evacuate the house until the fire department’s arrival.

(Lawrenceville, Ga., Aug. 19, 2025) – A devastating fire tore through a three-story apartment building at the Oxford Apartments in Lawrenceville early Tuesday morning, displacing over 30 residents and sending one firefighter to a local burn center following a partial roof collapse during firefighting efforts.

(Duluth, Ga., Aug. 25, 2025) - At 1:58 p.m., firefighters responded to a report of a business fire at 4216 Buford Highway NW in Duluth, Stefan International Car Service. The initial complainant told 911 call takers that his business was on fire and that everyone was in the process of evacuating.

(Snellville, Ga., Aug. 31, 2025) At 5:45 p.m., firefighters responded to multiple 911 callers reporting a house fire at the 2200 block of Eastwood Dr. in Snellville. The 911 caller reported that flames were visible from the garage, along with smoke emanating from the crawlspace. The 911 callers advised dispatch that there was one person trapped inside the house.

(Buford, Ga., Sep. 4, 2025) - At 6:54 a.m., firefighters responded to a report of a house fire on the 3000 block of North Bogan Road NE in Buford. The complainant, a neighbor, informed 911 call takers that the house was located near the intersection of Bogan Road and Thompson Mill. Units from Hall County Fire Rescue were also dispatched to the same incident due to its proximity to the Hall/Gwinnett County line.

(Norcross, Ga., Sep. 6, 2025) - At 6:00 a.m., firefighters responded to a report of a house fire on the 1000 block of Riva Ridge Drive NW in Norcross. The complainant informed 911 call takers that her house was on fire, and her father was trapped inside.

(Lawrenceville, Ga., September 21, 2025) Firefighters responded at 3:45 a.m. to a house fire on the 900 block of Overlook Path Way SE, Lawrenceville. The 911 caller was a neighbor who reported that the house across the street was on fire and that they did not see anyone outside. Gwinnett County Police arrived on the scene and found a victim in the front yard who had jumped from a second-story window, and they heard screaming coming from a window on the front of the house.
