Man Arrested for Abandoning his Dog

UPDATE #1: Catherine “Celine” Peavy was located SAFE at the Sams Club in Athens. She was recently reunited with her family. (Grayson, Georgia) Gwinnett Police are searching for a missing elderly person with medical issues. Officers responded to a missing person report shortly before 2:00pm. The complainant reported that his wife, Catherine “Celine” Peavy (74), had been missing for about an hour. He said that she has medical issues and is allowed to drive, but usually when someone is with her because she can get lost.Read More -
Citizens Police Academy
Read MoreThe Gwinnett County Police Department is currently accepting applications for the upcoming Citizens Police Academy session. The spring 2020 session will run from February 11, 2020 – April 02, 2020 and meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30– 8:30 PM. The CPA is open to all Gwinnett County residents 18 years of age or older who successfully pass the application process and a driver and criminal history check. Attendees will participate in classroom lecture, police unit demonstrations, practical exercises, and will also meet a great group of fellow citizens. The CPA is free of charge. Applications must be submitted no later than February 03, 2020, and can be found on the volunteer opportunity page of the GCPD website.

ADDITIONAL BUS ROUTES TAKE COMMUTERS TO MARTA STATIONS
(Lawrenceville, Ga., April 7, 2017) – In response to the collapse of the I-85 interstate in Atlanta, Gwinnett County Transit and the state’s Xpress Service have added new MARTA Feeder express service to take riders from the six Gwinnett and Xpress Park & Ride lots to the Chamblee and Doraville MARTA stations.
