(Lawrenceville, Ga., Dec. 9, 2025) – Pre-orders for UGA Extension Gwinnett’s annual plant sale fundraiser begin Jan. 2. Community members are invited to support the County’s 4-H and Master Gardener projects while finding fruit and ornamental plants that thrive in Georgia soil to complement their landscape.

(Lawrenceville, Ga., Dec. 31, 2024) – Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson was ceremonially sworn in today for her second term as head of the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners, with her family in attendance.

WHAT:            Due to the forecasted serious winter weather event, all Gwinnett County Government offices — with the exception of those required for the comfort and safety of residents — will be closed tomorrow, Jan. 10.

(Lawrenceville, Ga., May 23, 2025) – The Gwinnett County Board of Assessors mailed approximately 308,000 annual Notices of Assessment to residential and commercial property owners today.  

(Lawrenceville, Ga., June 16, 2025) – Gwinnett County Voter Registrations and Elections is notifying voters of changes to several polling locations ahead of the 2025 Special Primary Election. These changes affect multiple precincts across the county and are effective immediately.

(Lawrenceville, Ga., Aug. 1, 2025) – The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners is considering keeping the general fund millage rate the same as last year, at 6.950 mills, and will hold three public hearings for residents to comment.

(Lawrenceville, Ga., August 19, 2025) – The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday adopted the same general fund millage rate as last year, 6.95 mills. Before the vote, the commissioners received public comments online and in-person at three public hearings.

(Lawrenceville, Georgia) Gwinnett County Police Department is looking for a team of new police Chaplains to help comfort and counsel those in need during law enforcement related incidents. Police Chaplains play a very unique role in law enforcement by responding to the scene of traumatic events and helping those in need. Police Chaplains also serve those within the department who are dealing with personal stress, family crisis, or need help understanding employee assistance programs. We are looking for a team of highly motivated Chaplains from every religious denomination to help serve the diverse population of Gwinnett County. Anyone interested in the program will be required to complete a volunteer application. Additionally, candidates will be required to submit to a background check which may include a criminal history check, driving history check, references etc.
