S.M.I.L.E. Gwinnett

Join us for a free mentoring program in legal education!

S.M.I.L.E. Gwinnett is a summer series of Friday afternoon sessions at the courthouse that cover topics such as criminal law, civil law, and constitutional issues.  Our presenters are local lawyers, judges, law enforcement officers, and others who have chosen careers in the legal field.  We tour the local detention center, practice trial skills, and challenge students to learn more about an important career choice.  Last year, our returning students met with a local author who wrote a book about a murder case and the two lawyers who were involved.  This year, we are planning a trip to the office of the Gwinnett Medical Examiner for a look at forensics.
