The Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) Citizens Project Selection Committee (CPSC) has been established to assist Gwinnett County Transportation in preparing a recommendation of transportation projects for the Board of Commissioners based on the following project categories:

  • Bridges, Culverts and Transportation Drainage
  • Capital Projects Rehabilitation and Resurfacing
  • Intersections
  • Major Roads
  • Residential Speed Control
  • Road Safety and Alignment
  • School Safety
  • Sidewalks and Pedestrian Safety
  • Transportation Planning
  • Unpaved Roads

The work of the SPLOST Citizens Project Selection Committee (CPSC) for transportation is underway. The CPSC is made up of representatives of 11 major interest groups who were self-selected to serve on the committee. Their purpose is to review and prioritize prospective project categories for the proposed SPLOST program that will go before voters on November 8. Members are also expected to share information with their respective interest groups—homeowners, businesses, environmental, schools, civic organizations, freight, young professionals and seniors—and maintain an open line of communication between county government and the public.
