EHC General Info

The Gwinnett Environmental & Heritage Center is the area's newest jewel. Located near the Mall of Georgia the Center is the ideal location for a day of family fun! The center's interactive, hands-on science and history exhibits are designed to enlighten, educate, and entertain the entire family. Spend the day playing in our Discover H20 exhibit and learn about the unique combination of elements that allows life to thrive on our planet, experience our Blue Planet show, and then enjoy the nature trails while learning about the animals and plants in our environment. Daily K-12 field study programs, community meeting spaces and the casual picnicking pavilion makes the Center THE place in Gwinnett for nature and science-themed tourist/family outings!

The Center, a stunning 59,000 sq. ft. stone and natural pine facility set amid a 233-acre nature park, is Gwinnett County's first "green" building. Green or sustainable buildings embrace the practice of creating healthier and more resource-efficient models of construction, operation, and maintenance. Come visit our facility to experience interactive exhibits, participate in green living workshops, and explore the extensive grounds with nature trails, bikeways and greenway corridors!

Public hours are Monday thru Saturday 10am- 5pm (closed Sunday). The trails and greenway are open daily from dawn to dusk. Public offerings range from environmental clubs, Scout badge programs, escorted night-time nature hikes, "green living" workshops, and birthday party opportunities. The Center provides a safe application based learning environment that is not only educational, but fun for the whole family!
