Georgia law prohibits texting while driving

Gov. Sonny Perdue signed two bills effective July 1 that ban texting while driving and the use of any wireless device by school bus drivers and drivers under 18 years of age. Violating these laws can result in the addition of one point to your license, suspension of your license, and/or a minimum fine of $150. For more information visit, http://www.gahighwaysafety.org/.
