Georgia Department of Transportation contractors will close the two far-right lanes in parts of I-85 most nights from October 1 through the end of November.

The lane closures, which will affect northbound and southbound lanes, will occur 10:00pm to 5:00am Sundays through Thursdays between Jimmy Carter and Lawrenceville-Suwanee roads.

The lane closures are part of a project to remove and install new interstate signs. Crews will need to work on one side of I-85 at a time.

GDOT urges motorists to slow and use caution in work zones.
