FIRE DEPARTMENT PROMOTIONAL CEREMONY

(Lawrenceville, Ga. March 17, 2017) – The Gwinnett County Department of Fire and Emergency Services recently held a promotional ceremony to honor the latest personnel to take on leadership positions within the organization.  The ceremony was held on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 5:30 p.m., in the Auditorium at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center.  Those being recognized, along with their families, were joined by fire department command staff and county leaders as they participated in a badge pinning ritual and photo opportunity.

Fire Chief Casey Snyder, Commission Chairman Charlotte Nash and County Administrator Glenn Stephens, praised those being promoted and thanked the families for providing a network of support as their loved one studied and prepared for the promotional process.   

Many of the personnel were already serving in the position and were formally recognized at the badge pinning.  “This is an exciting time and a bright path for the future.  I am exceptionally proud of these individuals and for all the other outstanding members of the department,” said Fire Chief Casey Snyder.  Those promoted include
