Armed Robbery - SunTrust Bank (PHOTOS)

(Norcross, Georgia)  On October 1, shortly after 11:30am, West Precinct officers responded to the SunTrust Bank (5950 Jimmy Carter Boulevard in unincorporated Norcross) in reference to a Robbery.  Officers met with the employees of the bank. 

The teller told the officers that the suspect approached his window and handed him a piece of paper.  The piece of paper was a demand note for money from the teller.  Although the suspect never spoke to the teller, he gestured for him to hurry.  The suspect lifted his shirt and showed the teller the grip of a handgun.  The teller handed the suspect an undisclosed amount of money from his teller station.  Only the teller that dealt with the suspect was aware of the incident as it was occurring. 

The suspect fled on foot towards Pelican Drive.  Responding officers canvased the area in an attempt to locate video surveillance of the suspect fleeing.  SunTrust provided still photographs of the suspect from their surveillance system.

Crime Scene responded to the incident location to process the scene.  Due to the report of the suspect showing the teller a handgun, the FBI also responded to the incident location to assist with the investigation.

Clothing:                 dark blue plaid shirt, dark blue hat with unknown logo, blue pants
