Burglary Crew Hits 5 Gas Stations in One Night Causing $2500 Damage and Stealing $1000 Property
(Buford, Duluth, Lilburn, Georgia) Gwinnett Police detectives need the public’s help in identifying a burglary crew that burglarized or attempted to burglarize five gas stations in one night. These crimes occurred on April 29, 2018 between the hours of approximately 4:30am – 6:00am. The crew started in Buford, then traveled to unincorporated Duluth, and completed their spree in unincorporated Lilburn. The three suspects caused over $2500 worth of damage to the stores and stole approximately $1000 worth of cash and cigarettes. In each burglary two suspects utilize a crowbar to smash glass to gain entry while the third suspect waits in the vehicle. In at least two of the incidents only damage was caused and the burglars were not able to gain full access to the business..
Suspect 1 is described as a black male, medium build, wearing a light gray hoodie, dark gray shirt, black pants, black shoes, black gloves, and a black mask. Suspect 2 is described as a black male, medium build, wearing a light gray hoodie, black and blue shirt, dark blue pants, gray shoes, blue gloves, and a blue mask. Suspect 3 (not pictured) is the driver of the get-away vehicle and is described as a black male, medium build, wearing black clothing, and black headwear. Their vehicle is described as a black or dark gray 4-door sedan, possibly a Chrysler 300.
Detectives do believe that this crime spree is related to the previous gas station burglaries committed involving the red Chrysler 300.
