Clerk Struggles with Suspect during Robbery

(Lilburn, Georgia) Gwinnett County Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a Mobile gas station with a handgun and escaped with almost $1,000 cash. The robbery happened May 18th at approximately 10 p.m. at 925 Indian Trail Lilburn Road in Lilburn. When the suspect walked into the store, he produced a black and silver semi-automatic handgun and demanded money from the store clerk. A brief struggle took place between the suspect and the clerk. Ultimately, the suspect was able to steal money from the register before fleeing on foot. During the robbery, the suspects face was covered. However, police are hoping that the public recognizes the unique black and red jacket that the suspect was wearing. The suspect was described as a black male, 25-35yoa., and 145lbs-175lbs, 5’07-5’10.
