Update #1: (Suwanee, Georgia) On February 10, 2018 the construction worker that was struck by a vehicle, now identified as Lamar Ragland (42 years old), died as a result of the injuries he sustained during the collision on February 9, 2018.

Charges against the driver, Peter Rozboril, will be forthcoming.  These charges will mostly likely include Homicide by Vehicle and Traffic Charges.

Original: (Suwanee, Georgia) On February 9, 2018 around 5:00 am Gwinnett Police responded to a call in reference to a construction worker being struck by a maroon Toyota Corolla on I-85N near the I-985N split.  The construction worker was removing barrels from the end of the closure preparing it to be reopened.  The driver, Peter Rozboril, entered the lane closure with the intent to exit onto I-985N and struck the worker.  The worker was wearing a reflective jacket and helmet.  The worker was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.  The driver did remain at the scene and spoke with investigators.  Charges will be forthcoming.
