Customer Points Gun at Pizza Employee

(Norcross, Georgia)  The Gwinnett County Police Department Criminal Investigations Section needs the public’s help in locating a suspect who recently pointed a firearm at a pizza employee.  The incident occurred on Sunday, February 11, at a pizza restaurant located at 6050 Singleton Road in unincorporated Norcross.

Shortly before 11:30am, the customer, now known as Trontavious D. Date (age 19, Stone Mountain), walked into the restaurant to complain about a recent order.  The employee took his pizza and made a new one.   After the employee fixed the order, he told the customer to have a great day.  Tate turned around and said, “Do you think this is funny?”  He then walked outside to his vehicle and returned holding a firearm.  The customer shoved two computer monitors down and pointed the firearm at the employee.  Tate soon left the business and was seen fleeing in a black 4-door Honda.

The lead detective assigned to the case followed up on leads about the customer’s identity.  He was eventually able to secure arrest warrants for Trontavious D. Tate for Aggravated Assault (1 count) and Financial Transaction Card Theft (3 counts).  Tate’s whereabouts are currently unknown.

If anyone knows where Tate can be found, please contact GCPD detectives at 770-513-5300.  To remain anonymous, tipsters should contact Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477) or visit www.crimestoppersatlanta.org.  Crime Stoppers tipsters can receive up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.  Case Number:  18-013634
