Double Homicide Investigation

(Duluth, Georgia)  01/22/2017 Gwinnett County Police are investigating a double homicide on the 2100 block of Hopkins Mill Lane. The incident began shortly after 8 pm when police received the 911 call from the home. The caller stated two males had been shot inside the residence and the suspect fled the scene. Upon arrival, officers located one male deceased from a gunshot wound and another male also shot. The second male was transported to Gwinnett Medical Center- Lawrenceville where he later died. Detectives are currently working the scene to determine the cause of the shooting. At this point it appears that the shooter lived at the home with his other family members. The victims were family friends of the suspect who had been invited over to the home earlier in the day. At this point, the suspect’s location is unknown.
