Homicide - 1766 Scholar Drive

(Lawrenceville, Georgia, March 18, 2018)  At approximately 3:35 PM officers from the Southside Precinct responded to reports of a person shot at 1766 Scholar Drive in unincorporated Lawrenceville. A female caller at the residence advised the call taker that her husband had been shot during a robbery at the residence. When officers arrived they located one male victim, identified as Miguel Osorio (44), deceased inside the foyer area of the home from a gunshot wound

Detectives determined that two male suspects wearing what was described as “construction attire” entered the home with guns and tied up Osorio, his wife, and his adult daughter.  After being tied up, Osorio broke free and that is when he was shot by one of the suspects. Both suspects fled the residence, firing additional shots toward the house, but no one else was injured. The suspects were seen getting into  a gold or tan SUV where a third suspect (driver) was waiting.

GCPD Homicide Detectives and the Crime Scene Unit are on scene to gather and collect any additional evidence. The identity of the wife and daughter are being withheld at this time.
