(Snellville, Georgia) Gwinnett County Police are investigating what caused a woman to crash into M&J Homestyle Cooking shortly before 3 p.m. The restaurant is located at 3050 West Main Street in Snellville. The crash killed one man who was 71 and injured a second man who sustained minor injuries. The driver, 68 was pulling into the parking lot with her husband when it is believed that she confused the brake pedal with the accelerator and crashed into the restaurant. She was transported to the hospital for evaluation along with her husband who was not injured.

The restaurant was full of patrons at the time of the crash but no one else was injured. Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services evaluated the building and determined that it was structurally sound. At this point it is still being determined whether or not the driver will face charges.
