UPDATE: Man Wanted for Bestiality and Cruelty to Children in Custody

Update #1 (Lawrenceville, Georgia) Shortly before 5 p.m. yesterday, Cruz Barrera-Lugo surrendered himself to the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Department. He is being held with no bond.

February 13, 2017 (Lawrenceville, Georgia) Gwinnett County Police are searching for 61 year old Cruz Barreralugo. He is wanted for Bestiality and Cruelty to Children. The charges stem from an incident that happened shortly after 5 p.m. on February 11th. Police were called to a residential home in Lawrenceville and met with the home owner. The owner said he was playing in the yard with his nephew when he and his nephew witnessed the male landscaper, Cruz Barreralugo participating in a lewd sexual act with their dog. When the landscaper realized he had been seen, he stopped and ultimately fled the scene in a small black two door pickup truck.

Police were immediately called to the scene and reviewed home video surveillance that captured the incident. Police are working to obtain copies of the surveillance to solidify the criminal investigation. The landscaper had been servicing the lawn every two weeks for almost one year. It is unknown whether or not this was the first time this happened or if it had been an ongoing occurrence. This is an especially disturbing case for many reasons and we are working hard to pinpoint Berreralugo’s whereabouts so that he can be arrested.
