Man Wanted for Carjacking
(Norcross, Georgia) The Gwinnett County Police Department Robbery Unit needs the public’s help in identifying and solving a recent carjacking in unincorporated Norcross.
On May 9, 2017, officers responded to a carjacking call at Preston Lake Drive and South Norcross Tucker Road. The victim, a taxi driver, said he picked up the suspect at the Shell Gas Station at Jimmy Carter Blvd and Peachtree Industrial Boulevard. The suspect got into the taxi, and asked the driver to take him to the apartment complex on Preston Lake Drive.
When the driver pulled into the complex, the suspect pulled out a small black handgun and demanded the driver hand over all his money, and to get out of the taxi. The driver complied, and the suspect got into the driver seat, and he left the scene in the taxi. The taxi was later recovered near Preston Lake Drive and South Norcross Tucker Road.
Video obtained shows the suspect at the Shell Gas Station shortly before he is seen getting into the back passenger seat of the taxi.

Black male, 5-06, appx 20 years old, black t-shirt, , olive green pants, white sneakers, blue book-bag
