Update #1, 06/21/2017: Emelia has been found at the Circle K / BP at 4125 Jimmy Carter Boulevard.  She will be reunited with her family shortly.

Original, 06/21/2017: (Norcross, Georgia)  The Gwinnett County Police Department is actively involved in a missing person search for an 11-year old Norcross girl.  The call originally came into the 911 Center around 7:30pm from 5855 Wintergreen Road in unincorporated Norcross.

The mother told the call-taker that her daughter was supposed to be walking home from the grandmother’s home about 2 minutes away.  The grandmother called the mother to tell her that Emelia Akinlotan was on her way.  After her expected arrival time came and went, the mother confirmed with the grandmother that Emelia did not return to her home.
